Sugaring NYC - Boston

I went here for my first time a month ago and the staff made aware of the rockets step by step and guided me through sugaring for the first time! It was definitely painful and I was trying to hold back crocodile tears the whole time but the results were good so it’s worth putting up with. Also the masks that you can put as an add on for the sugaring process are definitely a nice way to end the session and makes things feel less painful!

I stopped going to this place for over a year now and completely see the difference. This place claims to give you less ingrown hairs & be painless but my experience was the complete opposite. The lady I had was extremely rough and was rushing through my wax (My brazilian was less than 10 mins). Also, over time I noticed that I began getting more and more ingrown hairs, dark spots, and so many bumps. Later on, I stopped coming here and did regular waxing. She than explains to me that so many of her clients said the same thing about Sugar waxing. It’s way more painful, more ingrown hairs, and poor customer service, etc. Overall, they just don’t seem to care about your skin and just want your money.

I hated my experience here and left with red bumps, a lot of pain, and terrible fear of ingrown hairs after my brazilian. The sugarista did not use proper technique and wax small portions at a time, did not always wax in the direction of hair growth, and was extremely violent and rough with handling the sugar and my skin. On one strip the sugar went flying across the room and hit the microwave. I also did not experience good customer service at all. The lady was cold, did not ask me about prior experience, sensitivity, or walk me through any after care. I have little confidence in the “purifying spray” and “anti ingrown” spray. I had to run home and apply aloe to soothe my skin and hoping I don’t end up with an infection. The entrance to the salon is old, musty and smells like pet pee. I regularly get sugaring services at Sugared and Bronzed and needed to find a new salon in Boston after moving here for the summer since they do not have a location here. So I have experienced friendly, relatively painless sugaring that left me feeling confident and clean. I left today in extreme pain. I will not be returning and will advise others not to book here either.

I wish I had looked at the reviews before coming to this location. I have sensitive skin and my friend suggested I try sugaring since waxing is too harsh for me... and boy did this place make me never want to try anything again. The person who did my service had 0 customer service skills and I ended up leaving in tears. She asked if I had ever done sugaring before and I said no and then she did not proceed to talk through how it works or what the experience would be like. Instead she started putting whatever the products are on me and going to town ripping up my skin. I have never experienced something so painful. I asked her to stop, I couldn't proceed as it was so awful. She ended up charging me for the full bikini sides (which are not done) and I now have a botched job and bruised body. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
